How strong is a 16-character random password?
A 16-char password with all character sets has ~95 bits entropy — effectively uncrackable at 10B guesses/sec with current hardware.
What is a passphrase and is it better?
4–6 random words like "apple-flame-robot-dock". A 4-word passphrase has ~51 bits entropy — same as a 9-char random password — but far easier to remember and type.
Are passwords stored or sent anywhere?
